About

Meet Coach Sherwin Foo

Head Coach & Founder, SF Performance Tennis. National team athlete, SEA Games competitor, and a full-time coach who doesn’t just teach tennis — he lives it.

My journey

From court-side to full-time coach

My tennis journey started at age 7 with a simple goal: to lose weight. Back then I knew I had decent hand-eye coordination, so I naturally gravitated toward the sport.

Little did I know what began as a fitness goal would turn into a passion — often involving me hitting tennis balls around the house and breaking a few mirrors along the way — and quickly evolve into a way of life.

The early grind

5:00 AM wake-ups

Tennis quickly became more than just a hobby. During my Raffles Secondary School days my routine was set: 5:00 AM wake-ups and 5:45 AM training on the RI campus before a quick shower and heading straight to class.

At age 14, I made the biggest decision of my teenage years — transferring to Singapore Sports School. It granted me the freedom to balance rigorous training with the demands of competing internationally.

What brought me to coaching

Going all in

I started coaching at 18 while still competing, but soon realised that to be the best coach possible, I needed to go all-in. After completing National Service at 21, I made the call to become a full-time coach.

Today I channel that experience into helping my students and clients in Singapore unlock their full potential. My core coaching areas are Bukit Timah, Orchard, Holland and East Coast, and my team and I provide elite-level coaching at condominium, club and public courts across them.

I don’t just teach tennis — I live it. Ready to turn your passion into progress?
